The current CEC FAQ identifies CF2R-LTG-01-E as the lighting Certificate of Installation used for single-family lighting work in new construction, additions and alterations. Whether and how it is submitted depends on the permitted project and local enforcement process.

Permit / scope note: the City of Sacramento says electrical remodeling and repairs can require permits, but the exact permit need depends on the actual work.
